This course (MUE 120) is intended to enable the students be knowledgeable in both Western and African musical instruments .The main aim of this course is to engage the students in practical tasks in order to bring out the musicianship in them. Consequently, this will benefit the pupils to whom they are expected to apply praxial music making activities using various instruments such as guitar, recorder, African drums and keyboard among others. In addition to instrumental play, the students will also be required to be involved in singing, listening, music reading and writing (music literacy), dancing (movements) and other elements of music creativity. Eventually, this will translate into competent and effective music teachers who are able to execute not only theory of music but also music practical through getting involved.
